The DS3800HRCA1C1B is manufactured by General Electric (GE) for use in the Speedtronic Mark IV line. The board has a black terminal along one side. The board can be attached to another board or fixed in place. To install, simply use the clamp and two small screws provided on the board. There are five indicators, or leds, on the board, one yellow and the other red.

The DS3800HRCA1C1B has two sets of jumper ports. These ports have small covers that can be moved or removed to alter the energy flow throughout the board. The board has diodes of various colors and sizes. There is one small black diode, two silver diodes, three blue diodes and nineteen yellow diodes.

There are also five yellow capacitors and nearly 15 resistors. Capacitors store energy, while resistors help transmit it. Each resistor can only handle so much at a time. The capacity can be calculated by the color band on each resistor. There are more than thirty EPROMs (memory cards that can be reprogrammed) and four EEPROMs (memory cards that cannot be changed). There is a raised small black section where another EEPROM or EPROM can be installed if necessary, as well as a small section labeled "SPARE". Identification marks on all plates help screen printing.
